Any of you who frequent the news and deals subforum may have seen that I was lucky as hell and won the Galax 970 and superflower psu competition. It always bugged me when I saw people win things like that and instantly flog it on MM, or who already had quad SLI etc and didn't really need the prize, so since this left me with some extra kit I figured I'd try to give something back to the community in the small way that I can afford to do, since I come out better off as it is anyway.

What's up for grabs:

Corsair TX750M, bought back in Nov 2011 from OcUK and got replaced with a 1200w back in July when I went for xfire 290s, but a 750w good brand modular PSU anyway with plenty of life left.

Superflower 350w golden green, bought April 2014 from OcUK, which came out of the HTPC that now has the 650W prize in it.

So nothing mind blowing, but I figured someone might want these to help them upgrade to xfire/SLI or to kick off their HTPC build they were saving up for

Conditions:
- You need to be eligible for MM access (no new signups or lurkers)
- You need to need them for a pc you want to build or upgrade, preferably because you're skint. No flogging them on MM or ebay. That's not why I'm doing this.
- only one PSU per person
- you have to pay postage

What you need to do:
Tell me which one you want, and what you want to do with it.

I'll attempt to give them to the people that need them most or who have the coolest project for it (or to the best liars, but I'm hoping that won't be the case).

I'll pick the winners next weekend, so no entries after Friday 9pm. If no one wants them by then, they're going on MM

Good luck! :)

Nice one *thumbs up*
A part of me dies when people win a comp only to list it a day or two later, nice to give stuff back! :D

Not interested in either, just wanted to give props :D

Even though im not eligible as i don't post enough its nice to see that you are giving back to such an excellent community. :)

Its nice to see someone do this, Respect to you sir! Im not in need of one though, But good luck to the winner, and Who ever the winner is, I hope you actually do need one and not conning this nice fella!

Great idea Devrij :)

tbh i would feel bad taking either off you. i have 6 pc's and only 4 psu's. 3rd world problems. maybe ask people who are making a new build in the general hardware section. that tx750m would be great in someones first gaming build.

Yeah this might do better audience wise in general hardware. It's a bit of a catch 22 since I want it to go to a forum member, but a newbie is probably more likely to need it!

Really nice to see someone do this after a prize. At my posting rate it will be around 40 years until I get MM access, any chance you can hold one until then? as my current psu has the worst coil whine you could imagine lol. :(

i would like the Corsair TX750M so i can get started to build a gaming PC for my GF who desperately needs one as her laptop just doesn't cut it : (

My lad who has autism has been saving his paper round money to build a gaming system. I started a thread about it here and although he's been able to get some parts from a friend at a very good price, he's still in need of some other bits. The TX750M would suit him perfectly and he'd be very grateful.

If you can't trust a don not to flog it who can you trust :D.

Good cause as well.

Ps. What else does he need for his system? I can have a dig and see if I've got something spare.

That's very kind of you but I don't want to derail this thread so please take a quick look here. He's got the mobo, CPU, cooler and graphics cards.

Not really a neeeeeeed but my son's computer could do with a better psu so I can get him a better gpu thus year. It's a bit gutting when you need to buy a gpu and a psu at the same time ha

Starting to wish I had another 750w instead of the little 350w! It would be a great little power plant for an htpc so anyone who was planning a build is welcome to it!
