hi all just a quick question, i currently have a 550w psu and im thinking of going xfire with 2x 48701gb's, so simply will a 550w be enough to power 2 of these, the rest of my system are - q6600 - 1 x dvd rw - 2 x 500gb hdd - 2x 80gb intel ssd - sound blaster xfi, think thats all, any help would be appreciated.

What brand of PSU?

But yes, it should most likely be fine, mine are powered by a Corsair 620HX,
and I don't think that the peak output is even close.

There is a site that allows you to calculate it, hold on.

hmm could be cutting it fine if that link you supplied n1blo is anything to go by, it says 602 wats with the second card installed, but it does ask how many hdds which i have 4 but 2 are ssd which use less power than normal hdds so i might be ok.

I just did a quick google and that was the first thing to come up.
That Antec link is far more up to date, would trust that more.

If it's an OCZ you will be fine buddy.
