been looking at the corsair hx520, will it be ok for the following?

OC'd Q6600
4x1 GB ram
1 8800GTX (maybe OC'd)
6x120mmfan (inc cpu)
1 ide dvd-r
1 fdd
2-3 500gb sata HDDs

thanks

Thanks, hmm was thinking that...I also read a review on the 620 version that said the 5v rail wasnt 100% which could cause problems if running lots of hard drives, I wil be running a maximum of 3...will that be ok do you think?

Lol,

heres probably a stupid question,

PCI-e and mobo connectors aside, theres 5 general power sockets on the PSU, now ive managed to rig everything up just using two of these sockets,

Socket1... has a 500GB HDD, a DVD-r, and a floppy attached.

Socket2... has 4 x 120mm case fans, with a spare molex for another case fan, not yet fitted.

Is it ok to put all this stuff over two PSU sockets or should I use more cables to spread the load? I was just kind of asuming the PSU would divert the nessesary power to those two outputs?

Ive got plenty of cables so I can use more PSU outputs if nessesary.

Its probably a stupid question, but I thought I should ask anyway....

thanks.

Thanks for that, somthing to think about....Ive currently run out of money so cant afford to finish the build yet anyway...

Case is a Lian-Li PC A10

I might have to flip the PSU back plate around, so the fan is facing inwards, as im not comfortable with the PSU fan only having an inch of breathing space against the case side panel.
