I was just wondering if people knew what the minimum spec PSU i would need for the system spec i am getting, so i know if my PSU is good enough or if i need a new one.

I will have:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
320mb XFX 8800GTS XT
Corsair TWIN2X 6400C4 DDR2 2048MB CL4
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4
SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
1x External Firewire 300gb HD
3x Internal SATA Drives (150, 150, 250)
1x Internal PATA Drive (120)
1x 80mm Fan
1x 120mm Fan
1x Floppy Drive
1x DVD-Rom
1x DVD-Writer

Thanks!

ps. when i say minimum spec psu, i mean minimum :) at the moment i have an Antec TrueBlue 480W (ATX 12v) and i wondered if this would be enough? it is meant to be a True 480W.

500-600w, but I think you should be OK with the PSU you have now.

can you fully guarantee it with that hardware? i will be having no extra hardware, and i don't want to ruin my brand new hardware (the top 4) :)

probably just ok if your not overclocking. but with the 8800GTS and Intel Quad i would get a better psu.

You want a guarantee, what am I going to owe you some money or something if it goes wrong? :p

You won't, it won't boot up if you haven't got enough juice check the amps that the PSU outputs should tell you if you have enough for the GPU, CPU etc...

yeah im definately going to, and i guess i cannot overclock until i do :)

but on the other hand, will i really need to overclock anyway, the quad should be plenty fast enough, and the 8800GTS XT is already overclocked :)
