Hey Everyone
I'm a bit new to building PCs, but I'm doing OK (I'm mid-build). I'm connecting up the PSU and getting confused. I have an Abit IP35, Corsair HX 520 W and a BFG 8800 GTS OC2. I've connected the big 24 pin connector from PSU to motherboard. Also coming out of the power supply are a 8 pin and 4 pin plug.
1. Do I need to connect both of these or do I just do the 8 pin and leave the 4?
2. My graphics card came with a connector 6 pin on the card to x2 3 pin for power (although they are 4 pin plugs). Do I need to connect both of these? if so how? and what to? there is only x1 4 pin plug on the motherboard and it doesn't reach. I did get a PCI-E cable with the PSU on one end there is a 6 pin which would fit the card on the other end there is a 6 pin and a 2 pin.
I'm sorry for asking these they are probably really silly questions, just not sure what goes where, any help would be appreciated! Many thanks.
If anyone can post a link to a good guide or forum for how to setup the PSU I would really love it!
Ben
