Hi,
So I bought the motherboard and CPU of my computer second hand, then bought a new HIS 7850 (even worse than reference cooler)
Now, I never noticed whine or grinding noises from my PSU before adding the 7850 (had a 5770 beforehand)
I bought a TX-750M and after a while that developed odd grinding noises (sounds like a hard drive) when doing anything like moving your mouse or scrolling through a web page.
I then got it replaced by the retailer with a newer model with a zero rpm fan mode.
So far the new PSU doesn't give nearly the amount whine or grind that the previous one did, but it's getting worse. I disabled C1E and EIST and it's better again, but it's still not silent. I can quite obviously hear it over the rest of my fans.
Question is, do you think it's the bargain basement GPU, second hand OEM motherboard or the mighty Corsair's PSU ?
Thanks in advance,
Nick
