Hey all,

Looking for advice and recommendation on what PSU I can get to replace my current one.

I currently have Thermaltake 750W, but its a couple of yesrs old and pumps a bit of head out now so looking for a new one.

It needs to power the following:

GTX 560Ti 1GB
8 Gig Ram
Intel i5 2500K
two Samsung 1TB drives

Always been told to get high wattage due to loads of stuff but that was a couple of years ago and I guess has changed somewhat now? :)

It's quite easy to over estimate how much power a pc uses, especially as time goes on manufacturers bring out new hardware, usually power draw gets lower as performance increases.

I tested my system, a overclocked i7 2700k, customer water and various hard drives and with a GTX 580 and I was pulling 430w at full load. (prime and Furmark)

Aside from one being Modular, any real difference between these two?

The XFX would probably be quieter, and is generally better quality (capacitors etc) and will most likely last longer and deliver better quality power, BUT it's non-modular as you said

The OCZ is alright, but personally I would go with the XFX and just hide the remaining cables...
