So I have doing some searching and found this video which happens to be my model of PSU as well as having the same noise problem, now is there a way to fix this through power management in BIOS or should I get a new one?

Motherboard is: GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK
I have already looked at power option in the BIOS but not sure exactly what I need to look for

That's type of coil whine.
Even some combinations of parts can cause that and fluctuating heavy load is also another thing which can trigger it.
For example graphic's card power draw being synced to to framerate.

What kind parts you have there in PC?
Anyway despite of Corsair hype CXes are standard cheap PSUs.

Only happens when gaming, I do use V-Sync in all my games OR FPS limiter to 60 when possible.

SPECS

i7 4790K 4 GHz Devils canyon
GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK LGA1150
16 GB Corsair Vengeance
Zotac 4 GB GTX970
Corsair 750w CX Modular
2x1TB Seagate SATA III

.

So if I bought a new psu, maybe one of those gold rated formula could is be possible that my combination of parts would cause coil whine in any PSU I buy so it would not fix my issue?

I noticed the price of my PSU has gone up to £95.99 !!!

Got mine in 31 May 2015 for £72.95 why is price so high now?

also do these have 3 year or 5 year warranty on them and could I RMA for coil whine or am I too late?

Put the warranty request in with Corsair after contacting ocuk about this and now I just need to wait for reply

Does anyone use this section of the forum?
