I have a Corsair CX750M and when in sli playing games its as noisy as hell spins to 100%.

So i heard good things about the xfx 850 core so i bought one of them and it does the same thing.

Is this normal or should i send it back.

I spent a fortune watercooling the pc to quiet things down abit but this is nuts might just go back to single card.

Do you have a wall meter to measure how much is being drawn? It could be heavy usage due to your spec.

Could you list your spec please?

Depending on your watercooling set up and your system spec, it may require a bigger Psu.

i had the same issue with my TX-750v2 i eventually fixed it by replacing the fan
The yate loons corsair seem to use in there cheaper psu's are jet engines, loud even at idle, (no zero rpm on these models) i replaced it with an akasa viper sflow 14cm, since its airflow is close enough to the stock fan but nearly half the dBA, it will void your warranty though as you need to open the PSU to replace the fan, but if you bought another one already it might not be an issue.

+1

I think i have found the problem. I had the case in a enclosed space the poor thing was crying out for fresh air. Spins up but nowhere near as bad now.

Still thanks for the advice on the fans i still might replace them.
