What make and model is the PSU?

Are you using a graphics card?

A decent 500W PSU will be enough to power that, but I would recommend going for a Z68 / 77 motherboard so you can overclock the CPU.

What will you be using the computer for? If it's just for gaming then drop the CPU down to a 3570K and getting a Z77 motherboard.

Look at swapping out the RAM for this stuff, it is low profile so it will better fit under any large heatsink that you may buy.

I am using the Point of View GeForce GTX 260 896MB GDDR3 TV-OutDual DVI
(PCI-Express) - Retail

I will be using the computer to stream games using xSplit, which is quite cpu intensive to begin with. I've seen others use the 3570K, but it can only stream at 720p which in all honesty is not an issue.

The PSU is a generic Zoostorm PSU (I know... its not good) I took a photo of the sticker on the side if it gives you a clue on if it will be ok - http://imgur.com/C76hB

I chose the specific Motherboard as its a micro-ATX I do not know what brand my case as (again generic) so not sure what size it will fit exactly.

I was told to look inside and I should see something saying ATX on the case, and I found the following - http://imgur.com/uXtQf

That's about as low as I'd go. If you need £350, that's about the best you can get for the money.

500W PSU Enough for upgrade?

Hello!

I am in the midst of upgrading my PC, and will be placing an order the early hours of tomorrow morning to guarantee Saturday delivery.

The issue is I am unsure if my Generic Zoostorm PSU 500W will be able handle the new build. I took a photo of the sticker on the side if it gives you a clue on if it will be ok - http://imgur.com/C76hB

I am currently looking at the following -

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W)

ASRock B75 Pro3-M Intel B75 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard [B75 Pro3-M]

Avexir MPower Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit 8GB

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-020-AR

I will not be upgrading the GPU at this moment in time, as I currently have a Point of View GeForce GTX 260 896MB GDDR3 TV-OutDual DVI
(PCI-Express) - Retail - which is sufficient for my current needs.

I have little to no interest in overclocking any of my components, but will look at doing so in the distant future, at which point I will most likely upgrade my PSU than as I doubt 500W will be able to cope with overclocking.

Please spend some money and get a decent/trusted PSU

Also look into getting a Z77 motherboard for that 3770K CPU.

I am unable to afford that at the moment, but I will be able to in the future I do intend to upgrade it at some point, but my question is at the moment is 500W enough for the planned upgrade?

Why not save money with the 3570K?

What do you use the PC for?

I am planning to do a lot of streaming on this computer, and XSplit is very CPU intensive, and I wish to stream in at least 1080p. I was told by a lot of people that I should at least get a i7 to be able to achieve this without issues.
