PSU Powerful enough?

I have absolutely no issues with the 450W apart from that fact I am worried that I would not be able to overclock the CPU to 4Ghz, and the PSU not being able to handle it being overclocked along with the rest of the build linked, and my graphics card, and as a result it causing my machine to blow up.

First off its not about the wattage, thats just about power draw, its about the amps put out on the 12V rail. Cheap power supply's often put out a lot of power on the 5V and 3V rails which are barely used anymore but they are based off cheap old, crappy designs often with no protection.

A modern 450W PSU will do fine because of the amps available. The 500W I think is better but not overly sure but it is modular. I would personally go for the one I linked (both times ;) :p) but thats because its slightly more expensive and modular. With PSU's you generally get what you pay for.

Could you explain what you mean by it's modular? I am sorry about all of this I am completely new, and very apprehensive as I do not want to purchase the wrong things.

EDIT:

Modular is when you only plug in the cables you need to. Rather than having a bunch of ones lose which you dont need and have to try and hide in the case ;)

Heck your system could run on Seasonics latest 360W PSU (goes to check claim :p), because its not about wattage.

Oh and heres the review for the 450W on JohnyGuru (Stulid already posted some earlier)

And heres the one for the 600W version of the PC P&C:

I wanted a PSU which would allow me to upgrade to a 7950 and it cost less than £50! It was rated 9/10 by Johnyguru and is modular. If CM still selled this for less than £50 it would be on lots of my specs.

I need some advice than on what build I should exactly go for.... I am worried that the i5 3570K will not be able to handle me streaming games at 720p without causing me to have severely low fps, and laggy streams. I have a maximum budget of £374, and I can not go a penny over.

The 3570K is one of the fastest quad core chips out there and is certinaly more than enough for streaming and gaming ;).... You really should think about getting a better PSU though (Zoostorm is like the 'Tesco Value' of computers and they really do skimp on components :().

The Good:

Efficient
Small
Five year warranty

The Bad:

Crazy +12V regulation that went up under load and even went out of spec when crossloaded
The Mediocre:

Price is pretty decent. It would feel like an even better price if the +12V wasn't wonky.

Crazy +12V regulation that went up under load and even went out of spec when crossloaded - This not a cause of concern?

Where you getting the review from? The JG for the CM 600 said he didn't like it but since it was within regs its not unacceptable. I agree its not ideal buts its not a huge issue and everything else on it was great :)

Put it this way if you got him to compare a generic PSU and that one the generic might (as some have before) actually explode :p

Yes, but I am not sure if the bad bit highlighted would cause me issues, and make my cpu etc blow up. I am sure you can understand me wanting me be 100% sure before I go ahead, and purchase everything.

Back on topic the XFX will definetley be enough but if you want to spend the extra then the 500W PC Power will also be good.
