A while ago i bought a cheap coolermaster 340 with 400W coolermaster PSU that was for a windows home server build. After a while i started to notice that it had a big problem...whenever the PSU cable was unplugged (happened several times by accident) with the machine still on, it resulted in the OS corrupting and refusing to boot until i reinstalled the OS.
I've since given up with WHS and used the box/PSU for a windows 7 test build, the only parts that are common to both machine are the box and PSU, everything else is different.
Since then i've had to move the box a few times (properly shut down though), and whenever it's plugged back in windows 7 has severe freezing problems and needs a re-install to get working again.
Could these both be symptoms of a dodgy PSU? at the moment i've assumed it's because i'm using beta software, but it seems to be a common problem, WHS was a dodgy piece of software at the best of times so it's difficult to say, but if a bad PSU could be causing this then i'll go get a new one.
Thanks.
