Im running win7 on the sig below, every night i put the pc to sleep so that i can wake it up via mouse click. Last two mornings ive clicked mouse and nothing happens, yesterday i could power on via pwr button on the frount, but this morning nothing, dead.

So i unplugged it from the mains and plugged it back in again, hit pwr button and it booted fine, i had a quick browse etc then put it back to sleep, clicked mouse to wake up, dead again, tried pwr button and still nothing even unplugging from mains dont help, ive unplugged everything apart from gfx, mobo and main hdd and still dead.

Any ideas?

Posting from my phone as got no spare pc here to try stuff.

Cheers.

Nice to see a fellow jack on here.I have been having a few problems like this also over the last few weeks tryed things like you but i am stumped may have to take it into a shop next week could be a power issue with mobo as in voltage regulator someone with more of an idea will help im sure.

Yea, there are a few from Swansea on here.

What ive noticed is that when i flick the on off switch at the back of the psu the side case fan used to light up and spin for a split second, now i do it nothing happens, even though the on off switch still has a light on it.

Does that sound as if the psu has gone?

Maybe i had a problem with another pc where the psu had gone and the fan on the cpu would just flick a movement and nothing else so if you are only getting juice to the on/off light it still could be the psu.Not sure but the battery maybe then having the power to light up the on/off button this could also be happening.

Yea, the only thing that lights up is the on off switch on the on back of the psu, so its getting power just not giving any out.
