I bought a Silverstone ST1200-G psu, but have been able to get it to work with my pc.

It spins up for half a second then turns off. Now i would assume that something is shorting it out, but the thing is..... if i connect my Corsair psu up it works no problem

I returned the psu and it was tested to be working fine.

Is there anything else that could cause this? Could it still be a short?

Cheers

Could be a short mate. Still, if I were you I'd demand for a replacementjust to be sure. Tell them you've got another power supply that you've tested on your system and worked fine. Don't let them fob you off.

Just reiterate to them that you're currently using another PSU and you're system is running fine. Tell them that you've narrowed it down that the PSU is the source of the problem. No harm trying to get the most off what you paid for.

Worst case is if they return it to you and problem demand them to cover shipping if they haven't done so in the first place.

Well... £200 for a psu that doesn't work with my pc and now the people I got it from are telling me i have to pay £40 worth of charges to get it back
