Hi

I have been putting together a kind of half decent spec PC

So far I have

P5Q-Deluxe
Q6600
8 Gig OCZ Gold Gamers Edition
2 X 30Gig OCZ Vertex II on RAID 0
Antec 300
Logitech X530 5.1

All that needs upgrading is

PSU

From looking on *competitor!* and buying brand new it seems I need to spend £50+ on one of these, I need an 8PIN CPU plug to get my full 16 phase, could I still acheive this by using a MOLEX-4PIN adapter along with a existing 4PIN

Would this suffice

*competitor!*

Graphics

Again I dont want to advertise my rear for service in order to acheive 1 million FPS, all I play is currently NFS RUN, Fifa12

Has been suggested 2 X 5850 on crossfire but they go for like £100 on *competitor!*, would this 1 card be faster than 2 HD5850's

*competitor!*

Also would the PSU in the link provide enough power for this single card plus the SSD's and 1 x 1TB SATA

Thanks for your help

Lee

Do not link to competitors or mention them, edit your post and just list the makes/models names.

I'd avoid any cheap no name PSU but stick with reputable branded ones.

OCZ ZS Series 550W

The PSU you have linked has only 38A on a single +12V rail and will supply no way near the advertised 750W. The OCZ ZS is very good for price.

OcUK GeForce GTX 460 hands down beats the GTX550Ti which is a very crippled card. Or a OcUK ATI Radeon HD 6850 which is also much better.

Not much between the 1GB GTX460 and the Radeon HD6850.
