which psu for the below specs ? , what wattage psu would i need ?

pentium e6500 dual core @3.3
asus p5e3 pro mobo
4 gb pc3 1066 (1333mhz)
3870x2 (might crossfire as i have 2)
seagate 500gb hd
 
If your planning on going crossfire you will need atleast 650w as those 3870x2 are hungry buggers, i would sell them both on the bay and buy a 5850 and then 500w will be fine. And plus be a lot quicker than your planned quadfire.
 
quadfire is not terribly good at scaling and is often outperformed by tri-fire so you might as well not bother as the gains will not be worth it. I'd recommend a 650 watt one for some headway should you upgrade a few things and add some HDDs but a 500watt one would probably do it with your current specs and one 3870x2.

my gaming rig is running 2x 5770's in crossfire , not going to spend a lot on it cause this will be a backup rig and built out of spares
