I want to get better air flow and temps in my case and the easiest way I can see of doing so it to move the PSU to the bottom from the top (Xigmatek Asgard Pure black).

I know I would have to mod the rear panel and the Mobo panel to be able to move the mobo up to its new location.

Here is my case.
Red lines are current PSU location, Green is new location.

Now, Ill have to cut along the bottom of the PSU holes on the back panel, but how would I go about joining them when its in its new location?
I can get some metal glue which is very strong, but will look messy and only works tidy in clumps.
I cant weld, or have access to someone that can weld.

Anyone have any ideas?
And Im not buying a new case....I like this 1 :)

Having the PSU at the top or bottom really won't make any difference to your temps. If you want to reduce them, I would suggest cutting some top fan holes or a bottom one if there is not already a hole there.

You have a mATX mobo? Otherwise it won't fit?

You could alternatively mount it in the 5.25 bays, either have the power cord coming out of the front of the case, or just mount it all internally. Or wedge it in the HDD bays. But anything you do won't make one iota of difference temp wise!

Up the CFM coming out of the rear exhaust+remove the restrictive grill.

i Belive i have the same problem with a am3 spec, airflow patter atm

Psu
^
exhuast < cpu
^
Intake
witch means the psu gets the majority of the hot air, and also is not a proper exhaust
and you would like the psu at the bottom with a floor intake and the motherboard mounted higher up with top exhaust fans, so the air from the awkwardly mount am3 (facing the top of the case) would have a exhaust with higher efficiency!
The way you have planned it may just work, but if i were you id be more focused on deriviting panels and maybe trying to change it to reverse atx (flipped around), so the power supply mount would end up on the bottom and you could have exhaust at the top. But with youre case this may be difficult

The P8P67-PRO isn't an mATX board so the PSU just wont fit at the bottom of the case, unless you shift the whole back panel and motherboard tray up the height of 1 PSU bay. If you don't have any PCI/PCI-E cards at all you might be able to fit the PSU sideways in that area.

You would probably be better served by isolating the PSU fan intake from the CPU cooler, either by flipping the PSU over and having it intake from a hole in the top panel or by getting something to channel the heat away from the CPU cooler directly towards the rear fan spot.

Sounds like a lot of trouble over a £20 case to be honest.

If it really bothers you have the PSU external to the case and see what difference it makes.

Sell the Xigmatec. Buy an Antec 100 (or 300 if you don't need the black interior). Would be infinitely less hassle.

Ill be cutting the back panel and joining onto the bottom and moving the board up to where the PSU is now. Then Ill be adding 1 top mounted fans and 1 bottom fan to give it better air flow.

Also, it will aid temps. Ive taken the PSU out and put it on top of the case and covered the PSU hole. Case temps dropped 5* and CPU temps dropped 7*

I wouldnt mind a new case, but I dont like antec for some reason, see my friends 300 and its just fugly.

Unless someone can find me a decent case (preferably with a side window and LED fans included) for sub £50, Im modding this :p

Backwards, turning it the right way up will result in an almost perfect reversal.
Im too scared to lie the case down incase the air pressure created will influence Hurricane Irene any more.
