I'm just wondering how important it is to people where the RMA location is.

Personally i'd lean towards getting a PSU with an RMA address in the UK. As far as I know, Tagan and Akasa are among 2 that are in the UK. I*also heard Enermax is closing their UK returns dept.

I was looking at Be Quiet and Corsair but noticed their returns dept is in Europe.

Maybe i'm being too negative in thinking i'll get a borked PSU. :)

Not important at all. I have kept a 7 year old thermal take encase a psu blows. which means time isn't a huge importance. the chances are it's going to be out of warranty anyway.

I think it is pretty important, and will be a key consideration in my next purchase.
Places like Parcel2go are much cheaper than Royal Mail, so RMA to Europe is not necessarily a really bad thing. All other things being equal or nearlyu so I'd go with the PSU that had UK RMA, but at the end of the day I'd get the PSU that I thought was beast for my needs

Zalman RMA's are done in the UK but I can't even let you know who it is because its classed as a competitor - stupid when OcUK sell Zalman PSU's lol.

Gigabyte & Hiper do UK RMA too.

Seasonic & Tagan are handled in the UK via Nanopoint.

Does anyone know where Thermaltake RMA's are sent too?

Very important for all hardware imo.

I think us brits should send a message and buy from companies that provide us a good uk based service.

More and more are closing UK offices in favour of germany or the netherlands.

Parcel2go and interparcel are still £20 to send a psu to Holland such as corsair.

Americans don't put up with no usa based depots and neither should we.

Everything I buy from now onwards is going to be with companies that have good uk based support and warranty's where possible.

I do agree actually.

Is the rumour true about Enermax closing their UK returns?

I havn't got a clue what to get now. I was looking at the Tagan TG500-B2 but have heard mixed messages. I may look at the Zalman ones.

£20 does seem a big price to pay to send a return to Europe.

It might be useful to some if we sort an up to date list of where RMA's are sent.

Antec - Complicated. Seems you can get a replacement from their UK distributor.

Akasa - UK

Be Quiet - Germany

Coolermaster - ?

Corsair - Holland

Enermax - UK. See previous post.

Gigabyte - UK

PC P and C - Not sure. Possibly same as OCZ?

Seasonic - UK (through Nanopoint)

Tagan - UK (through Nanopoint)

Zalman - ?

Feel free to edit the list.
