PSU Thread

Thanks very much to you both for advice and glad to hear I bought the right PSU :)
You guys make my job a lot easier.
 
Just to say I've fitted the PSU upside down.

The PSU is supported by a little bracket that lifts the PSU about 1"clearance form the bottom of the case. Will I still keep it upside down or does this 1" clearance mean I could turn it the right way up.

Should I leave it like this or does the 1" gap make a difference.

Having it upright probably stops heat escaping into the rest of the system.
That applies to passively cooled PSUs without forced airflow.

But having fan side upwards should allow PSU to cool lot faster after shutting down PC because heat remaining in cramped PSU casing escapes more easily upwards when fan stops.
