psu upside down?

As long as the fan isn't obstructed, it isn't going to matter.

Agreed, my case has the PSU mounted on it's side to allow me to fit a second PSU if required. The orientation of the PSU does not matter, as long as it can breathe and nothing (ie: a screw) can fall into it.

You will find that most cases have rubber stoppers to raise the PSU.

PSU's used to be located at the top of the case to extract hot air from HSF, but now they mainly sit at the bottom.
You will find very little difference in wheter PSU is fan down or fan up in a bottom mounted case.

Daz87uk, lian li website says psu fan should face down, there are vents at the bottom for it.

thanks, I think I will flip the psu around at somepoint, do you mean the rails it sits on as venting? as my case doesnt have external vents on the bottom, just the 10mm gap from the bottom of the case. :D

Strange, the pictures and description on lian li website for PC60 clearly show vents and says psu fan cooling slots

Yeah must be a revised version :( typical.... not the first time somthing is changed 2 seconds after I click on the order button. I could always mod it with some holes I suppose

id put it down as then it wont be drawing the hot air of the case into it, (and working against the other exhaust fans while doing that) itll get its own fresh air supply through vents :)
