heres a pic from speedfan showing voltages etc, my pc randomly crashes when i load games and i just wondered if it looks as if its because my psu isnt up to the job and cant keep up with the demand put on it?

What's your machine's spec and what are the rated currents for the PSU? To find the PSU's rating it should be on a sticker on the side of the PSU itself. Take a photo if you can.

ummm pc spec not sure as its quite old now, i think its the following

Pentium 4 3.4ghz Prescott Core
4x 256mb sticks of pc3200 ram (generic stuff)
1x 160Gb Hdd
3x 80Gb Hdd in Raid0
Ati Radeon 9550
1x DVD Drive
1x DVD writer

psu i cant see a sticker on but i believe its a generic make 500w psu so i would be ver supprised if its anywhere near 500w, if theres anything else u need to kno let me know

Well with a Prescott and 3 hard drives it's possible that you're gettin' close to the PSU's limit.

Run two instances of SuperPi 1M and take a screenshot of speedfan while it's running. Voltages while under load are more telling than voltages at idle.

4 Hdds  lol bit of a noob q but where can i get SuperPi 1M from?
Whoops :o

SuperPi is benchmarking tool that calculates a specified number of digits of Pi. Download it here

Set it to calculate 1 million digits and run two of those simultaneously. It'll bring your CPU load to 100%.

EDIT: It'll take a minute or two to run on a machine like yours.

hmmm well it wont let me run two at a time one of them just comes up with an error but with one running and my cpu at just over 50% there is very little change to voltage only 0.02v at the most
