*** PSVR2 owners thread ***

The big issue is not enough PCVR headsets officially support eye-tracked foveated rendering, so there's no incentive for developers to support the feature, and I don't think there are that many PSVR2s used for PCVR.

Ideally a game needs to natively support quad-view rendering to get the performance gains from eye-tracked foveated rendering, and there's only handful of those.

You can force a form of eye-tracked rendering with the OpenXR toolkit, but that only affects shaders and gives about 15% improvement.
It'll take Valve or Meta to release a eye-tracked headset with more mass-market appeal to get developers to jump on board with proper eye-tracked rendering that massively improves performance.

After owning the PSVR2 for 10 months finally buckled and bought the Global Cluster CMP2. Was worried about removing the old pads that I'd break something, watched a few videos and it looked easy on every one but then it always does :D

Luckily for me they both came off easily, new CMP2 fitted and tested out on GT7 and Alien Rogue Incursion. Can say so far I've found the same as the reviews state, much more comfortable and the headset stays in the sweet spot, so a success.

It's an essential upgrade. The Globular Cluster clip on headphones are decent too.

I did want the clip on headphones but they wouldn't fit in the storage case I've got unfortunately.

I had to change the back pad on the CMP2 as I was getting too much pressure on the rear of my head as I played.
