Hi,

While contemplating my blue navel fluff an idea just struck me regarding mobile phone coverage.

In order to augment base station capacity couldn't mobile phones be made to support a kinda PtoP Cell, offering spare capacity to other mobile phones in close proximity.

Would help with blackspots and the like, or am I just smoking crack.

Not powerful enough, plus it'd cane your battery. Besides, phones in close proximity will be getting the same reception you will unless on another network?
