Around here prices have been dropping and dropping for the last 3 or 4 years, A while ago most places were well over £3 a pint, now around £2 is the norm for lager (obviously some nicer places are higher)

Is this something that is happening all over the country or just a local thing

The price for a pint of lager seems to rise by around 10 to 20p per year here (the outskirts of Coventry). Right now it's £3 a pint.

A lot of the time the £2 is Carlsberg round here

It's coming to something when the local Weatherspoons is about the most expensive for draught beer :p

Guinness which is all i will drink!!

£2.30 to £4.00 a pint in Liverpool.

Larger can be had for £1.80 a pint upto £5.00 in clubs!!!

There's 5 pubs in my town, each of them has a different price for Fosters which ranges from £2.50 to £3.20. One of the pubs has a £1.99 pint which seems to vary month on month as to whether it's Carlsberg or Carling.

wasn't really looking for prices in areas more the trends which is very much downward around here

I think your answer is here - apply this logic and it looks like the places you frequent are getting worse and worse :p

:p I am talking general run of mill pubs, though the town centre puns are down to about £2-2.50
