Pug 206 GTi180 won't start

It turned out to be nothing serious in the end. A small case of bore wash where the car had been moved a short distance about an hour after it had been parked. Dry pistons because there was still fuel in the cylinders which had washed the oil away. However it does need a new battery. Thanks to the lovely guy from the AA we are back up to full French force.

what's wrong with TDC, it's mentioned in numerous places?
Indeed, particularly as the engine timing datum is set in terms of BTDC.

Because it measures crank index position,CrIP not TDC for starters
Edit* Crank reference angle I mean.. it's late :-/
Or could you mean Crank Position? And therefore another initialism would be CPS.
