Well I have gone and done it, I now have a Titan X where my crossfire 7970's used to be, and I can say I am impressed!!! initial benchmarks wipe the floor with my trusty old 7970's, just have to try and recoup some of the vast sum of money I used to buy it before the wife finds out :D

lol - nice buy and don't forget to add your pic/name to the role of honor :D

Congrats, throw some pics over on the Titan X Owners Thread

+1

What res are you using if you don't mind me asking?

I'm in a similar position with dual 7970s at 1440p. I was tempted by the current crop of 34" curved monitors plus a Titan X but I think i'm going to hang on for summer to see if there's an ATI card/980ti plus the next gen of 34" curved with either Gsync or Freesync.

Trouble is as always you can wait forever with something new always on the horizon although my trusty 7970s have done sterling service and I have to be honest still cope with most stuff now. I'm just suffering from the new upgrade toys itch :)

Im running at 2560x1440 so same as yourself, I too am looking to get a 34" curved monitor at some point in the near future, the itch was biting deep and I couldn't wait any longer, found myself watching loads of review vids and just pulled the trigger because the voices in my head told me too!

Are benchmarks not a measurement of how fast a card is to be then compared to another card\cards? faster card=more detail, higher resolutions and such like?

Yes if they included min/max/avg FPS, frame time graphs (engine frame times) , FCAT graphs (monitor frame times) and then you actually play the game to get the feel :)

Leak testing at the minute, have the next 3 days set aside to game until my eyes fall out, I will be able to tell you what real world impact it has if I can still see to type :)
