Pulling sounds out of a song.

Is it possible to get some sort of software to pull a certain sound out of a song / sound file?

e.g. there's drums, bass, guitar, vocals etc...

If i wanted the tune of the guitar, would it be possible to cut everything out, and just keep the guitar?

That kind'a software real?

Hmm, never heard of anything like that. Even if there was software which could do such things i cant imagine it would be to much quality. i.e. you would still get parts of the song in where you dont want.

Your best bet is to buy (or download ) individual tracks for the song. If its a reasonably popular song then i doubt its that hard to find. You'll probably find you'll be able to get just the drums, or just the guitar sections for example, on their own.

I used to know of a site where such things were avaiable but cant remember its name. If i find it again ill let you know.

A mate of mine told me it was possible to take the voice out of a song, but who knows, he was proberly stoned.

The tunes so good lol, u see i want it as my ring tone but every thing on top of it gets in the way heh heh.
