Hello guys
I have a problem with choosing the right pump for my loop.
I am building a new system which is going to have:
i5-4670k
Radeon R9 280x/290x
Its a mini itx case so radiator will be located outside, I wanted to use a 240 or 360, probably Black Ice Gtx or sr1, as I am planing some serious oc'ing.
And now comes the pump problem.
I would like a quiet one, so looked at EK DCP 2.2 pump, but is it strong enough for overclocked Haswell and overclocked high end GPU?
So I looked at Laing DDC 10W, but it looks like I would have to use kink coils on it. I have seen what a faulty one can do to your system, so I am not really interested in that.
Then comes DCP 4.0, but apparently there is a problem with noise.
I may have to buy a D5, which is strong and can be tuned down to make it run quiet, but my budget isn't big, anyway do I need a pump that strong in a mini itx system?
X20 750 isn't an option either as this case doesn't have any drive bays, besides I would like to have a choice of different res.
So I am back to square one.
I will have to make decision soon and would prefer to avoid making a bad purchase.
I appreciate any advice you can give me.
Cheers
BH
