Hey guys would you think that a dual D5/res running in series would be enough for a loop containing

Dual titans (part my xmas present to myself) im just glad i don't have a wife/gf or i would be getting a kick in the nackers for that one - Also im going for titans and not 780s as i do plan to expand to 4k and i am a very heavy game modder. Even now on 1440p my gpu eats up all 3GB ram on my gpu like it's nothing

my cpu (3970x)@4.8ghz may push it further with water?

the loop will have 3 radiators. Being a mix of sizes from the hardware labs black ICE SR1 family

a 3x120/1x140/2x140 For top rear and bottom in the phantom 820

here is the pump in question

Im pretty sure it will be able to handle it but you guys are the pros :D

I don't think ive missed anything from the loop but may aswell run over it quickly.

Pump/res
Cpu heat sync
Gpus(pre watercooled from your hardware labs :D)
3x corsair sp120
3x Corsair AF140
x12 G1/4ittings 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD
3x120mm radiator
1x140MM radiator
2x140mm radiator
Coolant 2-3L for the size of the loop? and some left over to top up
Clear hose
Stop fittings
and a 24pin psu bridge so i can run the loop on it's own

That all i have, have i missed anything

the pumps wont have any problem shifting the coolant around, and you have enough rads in there too...

i wouldnt have them in series though, id run them as a dual loop in parallel, maybe one for your cpu and one for your cards, grab 2 tasty colours and make it look awesome then :P

also, you could always use some deionised/distilled water to find out how much your loop will need, id say for that size 2-3l would be about right though.

you dont need to buy a psu bridge either (i know they are only cheap) but you can just make one out of a paper clip, you only need to bridge the green wire to any black wire :)

oh, and id like to point out, ive never done a loop the size you have, but ive done a couple of smaller ones, but maybe other people will give you better advise from personal experience with bigger loops :)

i think in the 820 i would have issues mounting two different loops and i like the clean look of a tidy single loop

my cooling on the cpu at the moment is " good enough " however blocks out chances for high profile ram and a dominator plat kit is on my list that's why im going water cooling on it for that and aesthetics.

My main requirement for the loop ( i should have probably said this earlier) is that aslong as my cpu keeps within its current temp range or lower and the gpus are nice and low. id like to keep the gpus below say 45C to allow for the best possible overclock. And i know that my cpu is stable and safe in its current thermal envelope

Though it would be nice to have it run cooler

I may be mistaken & most likely am but i was under the impression that series was the most cooling effective method in pump setups

If not is there a different pump(single or dual) and res that you would recommend for my setup

Green and black wire! got it!! thanks and well i was planning to buy the coolant so i had some left over for top ups so i think 3L will be cool i can always invest in another if i need

Stick with 120 radiators instead of 140's is my advice. Otherwise unless you go to 4 gpu blocks I wouldn't bother with two D5 pumps.
