really unsure if i should press the buy button, i would be hugely disappointed if i spend £200 on new setup and its just ivy bridge, would love to see other peoples results with ib and a watercooling set up.
 
took the plunge, new kit should be here tomorrow.

had to swap the dd5 for the Laing DDC-1+ Ultra as it was out of stock, abit miffed about that but am sure its up to the job.. unlike my current pump.

just waiting for fedex to deliver my goods.. speaking of fedex will be back in a few hours hopefully :)

been running prime for 13mins at the same settings above, max temp is 81c still not the improvement i was hoping for.. about 9c all in all, ran furmark on my 7970 for 5mins max temp 42c 1150/1500 overclock, use to hover around 50-52c.

more testing to be done.

4.7ghz vcore 1.264... 9hours small fft and 20 passes on ibt max temp 93c will do more testing tonight.

still not happy with my temps at this stage it must just be my ivy bridge chip?

93 is frankly too high and I wouldn't be running prime95 for 12 hours over and over again with those temps. probably wouldn't harm anything but still wouldn't do it. have you got a new pump or cpu block yet?
 
15mins on prime 95 blend max temp is 71c

15mins on prime 95 small ffts max temp is 93c

4.7ghz 1.264vcore
