Punched in the neck and face while moshpit goes on?!

Anyone had anything really bad happen like this?

some guy punched me three times in the face, and someone punched me in the neck while i was in a mosh pit it wasnt big it was at a local metal club, some scenester decided it would be good, he got what he deserved i headbutted the fruit cake as he was skinny knocked him flying woo!

but moshpits are good for just pushing eachother about? not full on punching, ive had a headache since 10pm, and my necks hurting big time, i felt faint earlier from it :confused:

i dont know man i feel it, but every so often my head falls not because im tired because of some sort of pain, and my entire top body hurts... and my right hand side to say im lookin at the screen the bit at the back of my head is storming with wierd pains.
 
I am an ex boxer, whenever we punched someone in the neck we would lose a point.

It's the worse place to take a blow and can be fatal, if you really are feeling a bit under the weather then it can't be good.

Don't goto sleep just yet, have some water. Also don't do a DIY boxers job and iron your neck with a morphy richards
 
I was infront of 15,000 people at men arean during Boys show and the same at Coldplayin in Boldton only the men arean had to be stopped due to huge pushing from the back.

its 3am, and im sleepy, but i dont wanna go to sleep and wake up all messed up.

as soon as i got out the pit i didnt feel right, i felt dizzy like i was gonna fall over or be sick.. :confused:
 
Neon - get yourself checked out ASAP mate.
It may get better with rest, but then again, it might not. Is that a chance you want to take?
 
yeh i really dont think i should leave it if the pain carrys on, i have a friend coming next weekend, dont wannc all it off, plus gigs :o

EDIT:

i also clashed heads really hard with him at the end, because he tried it on again, and he realised he did wrong, but i was bashed about quite abit, my jaw and face was hurting, but its like my neck shoulders, and back of head now.

I saw the beasties in '98, when they kicked off with the prodigy in Leeds... that was a pretty mad event - but I moved further back after they started. If you're watching the 'boys, you wanna properly dance with your heart in it - not just be crushed/jumped, surely.

I would get yourself down to A&E if I were you. Head and neck injeries can be VERY nasty. Even if you feel fine you should get it checked out soon, but as you feel a little strange its probably best not to wait around. I know its anoying but its better to be safe than sorry.
 
Mate sounds like you've been bugged. Wait for a phone call then go stand under some bridge. Then you'll be kind of kidnapped and have the blighter sucked out. You could just go to bed, or this could be a non medical advice thread. Shucks too late.

i know exactly how you feel!

i was punched square in the ear really really hard in a mosh at my local club... you guessed it, by a scene kid thinking its cool to attempt to punch everything in sight!

i stupidly didnt go to a security guard, or A&E and woke up next morning not being able to hear in that ear, and to find a little blood on my pillow!
luckily ive got all sense of hearing back in my ear! and i stress luckily!

i remember "in the good old days" and bear in mind i'm only 19, but have been gigging since i was 13, so i mean only 5 years ago it was just pushing in nearly all of the moshes i was in. even to an extent a year and a half ago it wasnt nearly as violent!

i dont understand why its changed, and for this reason i avoid moshes nowadays because i do fear for my life when i go in them. i have even been kicked in the face during moshes by scenesters that do all this crazy swinging around.

so i do feel your pain dude, and as people have said, go get the neck checked!

Slam-dancing is for gimps.

Dancing your funky white ass off is for the win.

That said, in 2000(2001?) at the NME tour, me and a mate instigated a pit during Starsailor (we were bored, okay?) then during Alfie, a kid (about 12 or 13) in a greenday hoodie in front of me was talking to his mates about crowd surfing...I asked him if he wanted to surf. He said yes so I picked him up and lobbed him forwards...where he promptly fell flat on his harris.

JJ72 got glassed for being mopy divas.

Amen were great - we danced our asses off and ended up spending the night in a lock-in with the band. Good times.
