Punched in the neck and face while moshpit goes on?!

He said yes so I picked him up and lobbed him forwards...where he promptly fell flat on his harris.
LOL!

I know what you mean about the scene kids thinking it's cool to try to punch everyone in sight. The first time I saw it was about 1 or 2 years ago and I didn't know what to make of it so I avoided it. I usually love a good old mosh :p

Well, the last time I was in a mosh pit and a couple of scene kids started trying to punch everyone, I mean full on attempting to punch people, some random lads and I just jumped in there. I shoulder barged one into the others who pushed him on his bum and the other followed suit. It's pretty funny thinking about it now though.

You're right about getting punched in the neck too :/
My friend had that happen and he was aching for a week. I've had someone elbow me in my collar bone, which hurts a lot.

TBH, I've got respect for you for ignoring the little blighters after they hit you. I very much doubt I would've left it at that.

Dancing your funky white ass off is for the win.

Quoted for truth. Although, nothing beats a good old drunken mosh ;)

Moshpits ain't what they used to be, I remember getting knocked over and thinking I was going to die, trampled to the strains of "Smells like Teen Spirit" when this hand appeared and lifted me to my feet by the collar of my shirt.

So much more gentlemanly in my day :D

Its not really my scene but me and a mate went to a RockSoc (Rock Society) event at uni that had a big mosh pit going. It was all nice until a few lads started really hitting people. Actually punching them.

I caught an elbow and split my lip. I took it like a man but he threw his dummy in the corner when I belted him and the room was spinning. He went crying to his mates :D

It really does depend on the maturity of the people in the pit I think. I say return the favour if they get a bit heavy. See how they like it.

but moshpits are good for just pushing eachother about? not full on punching, ive had a headache since 10pm, and my necks hurting big time, i felt faint earlier from it

-neon.

I guess it depends on the club, the music and the band.
Some of the psychobilly gigs that I used to go to went way beyond a bit of pushing. Try going to a Meteors gig in a King Kurt T-shirt and head to the front.

I'm not sure if that punch clouded your common sense, but you should have gone straight to the A&E.

Feeling nauseous after a blow to the head can indicate a concussion.

(I'm guessing the thread will be locked soon anyway).

I hate the people that wear metal studs round their neck and have them on their wrists aswell, then go into the mosh pits. Damn painfull getting metal studs in the head.

Most of them are like that today. It's only when you get idiotic scene kiddies who think it's cool to throw punches and drop-kick(!) that it gets annoying, and even then my experience is that usually a few older guys who gently but persuasively tell them to stop before they get their scrawny little asses kicked in.

^ my local alternative club night has become full of scene kids... and one thing much more deadly.... HATEBREED FANS. each 20 stone with 30" necks and could crush cars with their faces! and they do "slam dancing" which is just dangerous to get involved in!

Slam dancing?

For some reason you just reminded me of my playground favourite British bulldog! :D

In my day, that would have resulted in a swift smack in the chops back, and possibly being being dragged to the centre of the pit for a little one-on-one "moshing". Pah scene kids

I was at a Suicidal Tendencies gig, way back in the day when this mahoooosive guy clabered up on stage to stage dive, as he plummeted through the air, the crowd parted like the Red Sea. Ooooooof.
