I know what you mean about the scene kids thinking it's cool to try to punch everyone in sight. The first time I saw it was about 1 or 2 years ago and I didn't know what to make of it so I avoided it. I usually love a good old mosh

Well, the last time I was in a mosh pit and a couple of scene kids started trying to punch everyone, I mean full on attempting to punch people, some random lads and I just jumped in there. I shoulder barged one into the others who pushed him on his bum and the other followed suit. It's pretty funny thinking about it now though.
You're right about getting punched in the neck too :/
My friend had that happen and he was aching for a week. I've had someone elbow me in my collar bone, which hurts a lot.
TBH, I've got respect for you for ignoring the little blighters after they hit you. I very much doubt I would've left it at that.
