Couldn't decide where to put this one as covers several topics, but though this was the most likely candidate.
I currently have a Sony XDRDS12IP sat on my bedside table and while it good for showing me time at night, is proper pants at picking up any radio signals (feel this may be where it is placed as opposed to the unit. Have also replaced the skinny wire aerial with an F connector and wired it into an aerial outlet that is in my bedroom, which hasn't helped any either. May be the aerial feed is not that great and isn't carrying any radio) and sounds proper pump too. Was listening to ipod playback the other night and and actually turned it off as would rather listen to nothing than the sound it was producing.
Am looking after getting a replacement and have been contemplating getting the Pure Contour both for what it has to offer (mainly internet radio and aesthetics of it - needs to pass wife acceptance test) and also because some of the reviews I have read say that the sound is good out of it.
I realise that you aren't going to get audiophile quality out of unit so small, but have any people on here used said radio and what are your views on it?
Have seen it to buy from a place where 'every (my) little (pony) helps' for £75 which is a heck of a lot cheaper than anywhere else I have seen it, but it is currently out of stock, so have more time to wait and ruminate over whether or not to purchase.
