Thought of making myself, at the beginning of each week, a smoothie that i could have for breakfast everyday.

Now I want something obviously healthy, tastes OK, and lasts (when refrigerated) for the week.

Any tips guys!!

Thanks

Ross

i recon strawberrys apples and pears :]

I've made some with various mixtures of the following:

strawberries
mango
banana
pineapple
peach
nectarines

Basically, choose some fruits you like then blender them all together, maybe mix in some crushed ice and drink. Not convinced how long you can keep it for though, I did a day once but I think it starts to go a bit funny pretty quick as there's no preservatives etc in it.

Dont use grapefruit or any cirtuce for that matter, It is terrible

Bannana wont last long in the Fridge but they are the best fruit to use for this kind of thing.

Best way to do this is to freeze it in the freezer so it wont go bad :)

A lot of the vitamins disappear over time when refrigerated. You're best off drinking the smoothie immediately or the next morning at the latest. Use lemon juice as a preservative (assuming you're not using milk).

I tend to blend my chosen fruit (banana, pineapple, mango usually) with some orange juice. Takes a lot less time when there is only one fruit to prepare.

Ski up and go
