(Didn't know where to put this and considering this isn't a full mod log... but rather than a cooling/tidying log... i thought it would be best here)

Edit: C&P from another forum... work so far.
(Changed a lot of hardware during this time too)

Right, most people i know, know that i'm currently upgrading my system with better parts, better watercooling and a much bigger case, so thay have asked me to do a Project Log... however this is not neccessarily just modding the case but more about extensive tidying job and fitting 3 watercooling loops.

Here is what i have so far:

Got some new goodies to stare at until my new DFI Expert motherboard arrives hopefully by Monday.

After waiting a miserable 6 weeks my case has finally arrived. Won't bother saying much but here she is:

^^ Its masssive. The box alone takes up half of my Double bed!

Not only that but how many ****** screws do you need to take out to open the damn case!

This is what the internal of the case looks like.. plenty of room for me to play around... i can probably lock myself in there if i tried  :D

^^The motherboard tray has roughly a 20mm gap at the bottom.. nice to feed cables and tubing through... kinda nifty.

dsc011049hv.jpg

dsc011385yv.jpg

^^Got the motherboard... very nice indeed

dsc011419kd.jpg

^^Had some time off before going to work.. just to drill a few holes to attach the D5 pumps.

Haven't done much at this moment... sorry for going so slow.

Was a little bored last night so i thought i would start soundproofing my case and do a little bit of wiring/soldering.
BTW the mats are not stuck down as it'll be a pain if i need to do an extra bit of modding and a hassle to rip it off.

dsc013045ca.jpg

^^Bottom layer done

dsc013109gu.jpg

^^Sides

dsc013115lw.jpg

^^Braided the D5's

dsc013152ix.jpg

^^Decided to make some extension wires. 1 down, 3 more to go.. all will be braided with a 90degree molex attached to one end.

dsc013282vb.jpg

^^Both of the D5's are connected to one of the cables of the PSU which has 3 molex connectors, i managed to hide all the excess cables which will also be out of sight when the panels are made. The 3rd cable slots in between the second and third fan mounts of the radiator grill.

dsc013299vc.jpg

^^Remember the extension wires i made? Well they are going to attach to the molex/es, through the drive bay holes and plugged into the drives for a neater look.

panels7hc.jpg

^^Bottom base panels designed using Autocad. The 2 small rectangular panels in this pic are going to be fitted on each side of the outter drive bays.
Top panel will be 3mm Acrylic, middle and bottom panel will be using 8mm acylic... to give the PSU wires some space when i come to tidying it all up.
I was going to use smoked black plexi... but now COMPETITOR! have Mirror acylic, think i'll switch to that :D *yum*

Tiny Update:

Received my Storm G4 waterblock yesterday and been busy plaing with that

dsc013947wj.jpg

Nicely lapped and pretty shiny^^

dsc014129ga.jpg

The panels which i have designed will be lazer cut when i come back from holiday, plus whether Scampi wants me to, i might get his panels done too... but in the mean time i'm still waiting for one of my res bay mounts which should arrive by Tuesday.

Proposed loop set-up.. i was bored:

Just got back from HK so i'm feeling a bit under the weather with jetlag and the cold :(

Anyways, i managed to get hold of a X1900XTX and a Soundblaster XFI at bargain prices over there... less than $3000 for both.. which is around £200-250.

Here are the pics :)

MY EK block also arrived for my graphics card and it looks mint... very shiny indeed!^^

I won't be watercooling the graphics just yet as i will need to test it first. Considering its from HK i need to make sure the card is OK and not fubarred.

Thats all for now... more updates when i get better ;)

Looking good :)

I've read through all of it, and i'm guessing your just gonna do an ultimate water cooling rig?

Pretty much :)

Was going to buy a BFG Physics cards but unfortunately i don't have enough space to fit it and watercool it... surprisingly

Nice rig!

Give it to me... I WANTS IT! :p

What case is that? You might have already said but I'm far too lazy to go looking lol. Wish I could get my cabling that tidy! Might have to drill some holes into my Stacker to allow for some creative wiring :D

So how much wallet damage could I expect if I ordered one now? Not that I have any immediate plans but its one sexy case :D
