Looking good so far. Lucky that you tracked down that leak before it went into normal use - that could have been a bit more serious!

Have i missed something in the thread or is he actually just fitting watercooling into a huge case designed for such a task? im confused :confused:

It's just people here like watercooling, I guess. Credit to him ... it does look good so far.

But it's looking really nice mate, and hugely expensive :cool: . Have you received the aquadrive dual yet? I'm thinking of buying one myself, but it's very expensive. And the rest of my setup is copper, so I'm a bit worried about corrosion :confused:

Though as mentioned earlier, i haven't really got the time to mod the bugger... not for a while anyway.. but i have made a list of the stuff i will be doing by the end of this year... plus have talked about this on other forums and they think it'll be worth it.

Not to forget i'm strapped for cash so thats another reason why it won't be done straigt away.

Heres what i intend to do:

* Flip-tone the case to this colour (exterior only. Interior will stay black)

* Etch the side panels with anime of Bleach... cos' i like that series :D

* Lasercut the panels i designed for the base of the case

* Change the Seasonic for a Tagan 1.1Kw PSU

* If i feel the time is right, add another X1900 card and create a 4th loop. (That'll be hard considering i don't have much spave left in the case surprisingly how big the bugger is.


@ sablabra: Not yet, the person i'm receiving it from is still waitng from AC Direct. The last Aquadrive he was about to sell to me.. he tested it and cos' he didn't notice there was a leak.. it fried his rig LOL :eek:

That paint looks cool, but I would skip the bleach thing if I were you, no offence :D

I hope you'll recieve the aquadrive soon, it looks so nice ;) . Have you thought about corrosion though? Over at xs.org the tiniest piece of alu will kill you and the wife next door, but I suspect they're overreacting :D

Never heard of that. Then again, if it were true, then wouldn't you think Aquacomputer would stop stocking the Aquadrive? :confused:

It is anodized so it shouldn't really be a problem. Alu in itself isn't a bad thing, but in combination with copper it can be bad. If you use some anti corrosive stuff like pentosin, zerex or just some normal blue anti freeze you should be fine(mixed with distilled water of course ;) ). Remember most of you're setup is copper, so you should be a bit careful with mixing metals

Btw, the aquatube is also alu, the aquadrive won't be any worse than that ;)

Yeah the fillers are absolute crap, supposedly only 7 left though before it goes onto the kakashi story line. If you havent seent he latest one...don't bother

I would throw up watching Naruto..such crap...fillers..guhh don't get me started... then you have dragonball...omg constipated martial arts...even worse than Naruto... Anyways, compared to them wolfs rain and samurai champloo are loads better. Bleach is the winner in the list, but like Naruto suffering from poor fillers.


Well back on topic... What's the status of the comp..it's looking like a real beast of a comp.. Shame about the leakage eh!

As it currently stands with just the GPU plumbed up, i managed to lift the bugger onto our home scales which i found in our bathroom.

Its about 6.9stones which is approximately 45kg

EDIT: Mind you this ISN'T going to be a LAN Rig lol :eek: :D
