I've only ever dealt with estate agents in the flesh before, so PB is a bit new to me.

If I note interest in a property, will they let me know if an offer gets made by someone else?

Check around local agents, some are now beating prices of online agents.

For example we have an excellent one offering to sell your house for £699 flat fee. Top estate agent in town so doesn't mess about and doesn't prioritise a bigger commission over these.

I've sold my property, I'm now looking at buying one on purple bricks but haven't used them before.

I prefer an estate agent I can phone up and speak to.

I've viewed a few houses being sold by purple Bricks. No different than any other agent in that the agent will meet you at the property and they will be the ones trying to make the sale. You can just put bids and questions into the website rather than phoning the agent to pass on.

I used PB to buy a house 3 months ago. Much better than the estate agents we previously used. No hard sell or rubbish. Just bid. Bid accepted. Property is of the market. Job done.

From a sellers perspective, having used PB recently to sell a flat that 3 different estate agents couldn't (be very bothered) to sell, I'd never use a traditional estate agent again. Saved us a fortune too.
