Hi,

I've got my e2160 to 3.42ghz @ 1.3850V W/ Abit IP-35E and Tuniq Tower.

Shall I see if i can push it further? Whats a safe voltage to keep it humming?

I haven't been able to check temps yet as I don't have internet access (Using Works) and thus cannot download and monitoring software.

It seems stable, I play loads of games and it hasnt crashed, nor has it crashed booting.

I'm interested just how far this chip will go. I haven't had any problems so far yet I'm worried I may over do it with the vCore.

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks!

Same chip as me. I'm sitting nicely at 3Ghz with stock cooling. 28c idle and 55 under load. Standard voltage and ram settings - 1:1 DRAM and FSB and 5-5-5-17 RAM

You need to run something like Orthos overnight to see if your clock throws up and anomalies or errors. Also a good way of logging temps over a period of time and useage.

If I were you I'd check temps first, then look about pushing it further. If temps are ok then try for 3.5Ghz.

I'm sticking at 3 and getting a new cooler and fan, most likely the Arctic Freezer. Having said that, the stock cooling isn't that bad, or noisy. The only noisy bit really is the GPU cooler but that's getting upgraded to a silents Arctic S1.

Good luck.
