Push - pull setup help

how does it improve cooling then? as surley one would blow straight through

It basically gives a more even spread of air though the fins and reduces the dead spot effect caused by the centre of the fan hub.

Also if you have a thick radiator a fan with low static pressure will struggle to push the air all the way though the radiator, the second fan helps this by pulling the air though and helping the other fan out :)

mount only one fan and run it in front of your face on the other side, in push mode only, because you only feel a slight breeze.... the air just doesn't come through the other side... not enough power in the fan ..... you have to drag it out, hence pull mode.

the cooler is simply too deep and fins too close together, especially Thors Hammer.
