Push the button? PM's nuclear options.

I would like to think sattelite images/tracking would give an idea of where the missile was launched from.

I wonder tho if russia have those missiles that got banned, they invented some missiles that could go in space, orbit the earth for as long as they like without fuel use and then re enter orbit near the target. Officially russia abandoned those missiles, but unofficially who knows.

Makes you wonder about the Stars Wars programme. All ICBMs go into space and then use stellar mapping to fix their pre-determined co-ordinates.

Fractional orbital bombardment i think was the name.

Presumably any missile capable of launching a satelite could be modified for the purpose

We'd most likely use nukes to kill AI, if anything. Sacrifice some life for the greater good - even though we're hardly a great species. I guess AI would figure this out soon enough and probably gain control all the nukes in the world if it was clever enough.

So, just out of curiosity what happens if the whole cabinet is wiped out via a non-nuclear war?

What process is put into place then?

Street party's up and down the country, Send the purpritrators a letter of thanks, and we vote in people that can fill in their expences with things that normal people would consider acceptable...

Full retaliation. This would allow;

a) A chance for me to actually live out a Fallout 4 scenario

or

b) Let nature reset. Planet has quite a few billion years left before our sun goes nova which is plenty of time to create a planet full of dogs/other endlessly happy creatures.
