pushed something in MS Word - doh

When I am in MS word, if i highlight a word lets say "Pretend" and press A. It should delete "Pretend" and replace it with "A". However what it is doing is Adding the A infront of Pretend. To make "APretend" I've prob pushed something but I dont know what

If you have MS Word 2003 it is just a case of adjusting.

Go to Tools > Options and in the tab bars of the dialog box find Edit. The first checkbox should be 'Typing replaces selection'
