Looks great and seems to keep temps very low with monster overclock.

This is for the 480.

Im slapping 2 on my 470s and oc the crap out of them.

I can see this catching on now.

Successful 900/1800/2200 Overclock with a couple a cheap $59 Antec 620's with temps topped out at 46c and the VRM Temps via fans sensor at 47c

That is what he got out of them.

40 quid for the cooler. Well worth the time.

It seems such a mess. Reminds me of the days when some people were messing with liquid nitrogen and giant tumble dryer ducts.

It works though. It doesnt seem that much of a mess. Alittle tweaking to the case and you got a top quality cooler. The temps he has on that oc are insane for the 480.

Going to do this with my 470s after xmas and the bios for more voltage to try push them to 900 on the core.

Lol i havent really had the chance to use it. My psu messed up and at the moment i setting up the rma for it today. I had to borrow my mates corsair tx 650. I dont fancy risking sli at the moment.

After i put the antec 620s on it mate and oc the hell out of it im sure it will be great.

Fair enough, probably wise not to use your friend's psu for sli. Still, hopefully all will be sorted for Christmas, plenty of fun over the festive period! :)

I thought about this when I first saw closed loop coolers, surprised it hasn't been tried sooner.

However, for probably about the same price, you could buy GPU blocks for a prober water cooling system, and with the price of the CPU cooler too, you could probably get fully customised WC.

So in my opinion, a nice idea, but not really worth it.

Looks a bit messy but if someone from Antec or any other cooler company see this they're bound to make one that would fit most cards and make a killing on it. Looks a bit messy with 2 cards but I reckon if you have one i.e 580, it'll be fine providing you have space in your case.

Thats a pretty cool idea. Not sure how much trust I put in the cable ties though... One slip and the chip cooks...

This, this, this!

I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the life of a couple hundred £ GPU in the hands of a few penny zip ties.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to fashion some sort of bracket yourself?

Would a modern day GPU not disable itself the second it heats over its danger threshold?

yes... but they generally stop outputting video and put the fan to 100% which won't work in this case.

I think it's a good idea... if you don't mind potentially damaging something. cable ties aren't exactly secure!

TBPH, if you have the money, custom is the way to go as it certainly looks a lot better and the components will most likely last longer. After a long gaming session, a pump failure could be disastrous

I'm surprised someone hasn't started making brakets for this kinda thing.

There must be a factory in the far east able to knock hundreds of metal brakets up for a variety of coolers
