Putting a computer inside a cupboard

How are you finding the noble? I have one in white, and while I absolutely love it, the head cushion annoys me. Without it I’m too far back (and end up slouching) and with it my heads pushed too far forward and I end up with neckache (coincidentally I end up with earache if I spend too long on the PC :p)

Other than that it’s great because the arms sit flush with the desk, and they can be moved quite a way out for the wider person. Also, because they use three good bolts on the bottom, you could quite easily make up a bracket for mounting a HOTAS.

yeah the adjustable arms are the best feature i can get my arms bang level with the desk definitely helped with upper back pain i was getting, i know what you mean about the cushion sometimes i fell like it pushing my head too far forward i lean the chair back a bit to compensate, the lumber one i removed the supplied foam and filled it with memory foam i found it a bit thick i wish the seat was a bit softer having a few age related issues with my back coccyx pain even the car seat gets on my nerves after a while.

the joys of getting old :p

The Micke doesn't look bad - but I have 140cm width to play with, and I'd like to get something as close to using all of that as possible.

Take a look at the set of drawers on castors you can get with it. Makes them wider, they’re exactly the same height.

It’s a small desk, my setup was moved to the conservatory and to keep the Mrs happy I slowly expanded rather than have a huge desk from the get go! :D

It’s good though, serves me well. Top can chip so be a bit careful.

I don’t know if I’m old or not, but I’m pretty ill and comfort is a must, so I feel your sentiment mate :D

It’s definitely the best chair I’ve owned, and I too sit way better with the arms level with the desk. I’m going to look for an alternative cushion option I think!

Thanks a lot! Can I be really cheeky, and ask you for the width and height of the cupboard, and the width of the space for your legs? Don't seem to have those measurements on the website.

Absolutely mate, I’ll do it later for you. As I said I removed the drawer, so bear in my my measurement will be without it. I’d recommend you do the same.

Do you want any pictures for scale? monitor, pc, peripherals etc?

Floor to bottom of desk (without drawer): 72cm
Side to side room under desk: 67cm

Cupboard width : 28.5cm
Height : 59cm
Depth : 50cm

Be aware that the door, and the hinges take up space inside the cupboard, you could remove them. It took me a while to find the right ATX case to fit, I had a Corsair Air 240, and replaced it with my Meshify C, which fits perfect. As I’ve said before I have three ML140s mounted behind a grill on the door of the cupboard, which is made of chipboard.
