Putting a Western Digital Drive in a seagate enclosure?

Hi, Just had a portable seagate 2.5" drive fail on me, lucky as everything is backed up.

Question I'd like to ask is can you put a Western Digital 2.5" drive of the same size GB wise into the seagate enclosure or am I likely to get firmware issues with the interface?

Is it just an external hard disc caddy? Should be fine

these tings all use standard drives. sometimes the drive thickness plays a part but that should be all you have to worry about.
