strangely, the other day i noticed a baffling vysync issue.
i had vsync in the nvidia control panel set to 'use 3d application setting'.
so, i assume, that means my nvidia card lets the game's vsync handle the load.
also, d3doverrider was turned off.
i had the game's vsync turned off, as i just d3doverrider to handle the load.
but there was still vsync in operation!

the only thing i can think is that the in-game vsync is broken, and it is always set to be on, even when you clearly un-tick the box.
if the nvidia control panel is set to 'use the 3d application setting', then my nvidia card is letting either the in-game vsync do the job, or letting d3doverrider do it.
but if d3doverrider is turned off and the in-game vsync is turned off, how can the game still be running vsync?
