pwm fans problem

so I have a pwm question.

I have a waterblock on my 2080ti. I used the fan hubs on that 2080 ti to control 3 radiator pwm radiator fans. one fan is plugged directly into the header, 2 fans are using a ekwb 2 way splitter. when using msi afterburner or cpuid hwmonitor only one fan follows the fan curve I set in msi. the one fan not on the splitter. the other two fans seems to be running at 100% although any monitor says they are running at 0%.

have I brought the wrong parts or is it something else?

ive tried speedfan and my motherboard bios to control fan speeds and none of them work properly yesterday this seemed like the best option.

many thanks guys

At stock, do you know what the fans would do on that card? I had a GTX 970 where the fan control only seemed to affect one fan consistently. Specifically in fan stop mode, one always kept running.

The fact you have two fan headers also implies to me that there may be independent curves/fan control. What does the card normally offer? Are you running the latest version of Afterburner?

The hardware config you've shown sounds right. Two assumptions:

- You haven't reversed any connectors by accident or left one side loose. The 4th pin in the connector is PWM control I think.
- Those two headers originally had fans on and not something else like LEDs.
