Hey there.

Im trying to work out how much Holiday pay I am entitled to If i work 2 days a week only.

Ive been looking through Adviceguide.org and it states.

How much paid holiday can you take

You are entitled to a minimum of 4.8 weeks' holiday a year. This is called statutory holiday.

Then it says

To work out how many days holiday you can take a year, you need to multiply 4.8 by the number of days you work in a week.

For example:

* if you work a five-day week, you are entitled to 24 days' paid holiday a year (4.8 X 5).
* if you work 2.5 days a week, you are entitled to 12 days' paid holiday a year (4.8 X 2.5).

Does it mean that I can take 4.8 weeks a year + my 9 days from the above or just 9 days?

Thanks in Advance

you can take 4.8 weeks. so, if you take a week off, thats 2 days, for a normal employee thats 5 days.

Just a little confusing, 4.8 weeks = 33.6 days so that means I have to take 16 weeks off a year to make up the 33.6 days? Or I have to take off 4.5 weeks to make up for the 9 days.

the 4.8 weeks includes bank holidays (if you work weekends only I'm not sure what affect this has on you)

working 2 days a week you get 9 days paid holiday a year

You get 4.8 weeks holiday - a week is your USUAL working week

so 2 days per week

so 9.6 days per year.

no. 4.8 weeks for you = 9.x days. if you take a week off, you get paid what you would have worked, which is only 2 days that week.

 lol. How is that in any way remotely sensible?!

answer is in your OP. 4.8*2 = 9(.6) days holiday per year minimum.
