Hi

watching a movie last night and i noticed that my artic cooling 64 is really loud, i activated the Asus Q-fan and rebooted and got a cpu fan error on start up in the bios. the fan is silent but its only running at 400rpm. is thier a way in the bios to increase the start up rpm and at what speed does the fan have to spin so i dont get the error.
Thanks Hassan

Have a look in the fan profile in q fan in bios, may be set to silent, causing the low speed of the fan and therefore the cpu sensor not detecting the fan, iirc the other options are standard and turbo.

If it is an asus bios next to the options of silent, standard and turbo there is a setting of cpu fan speed. If you set it to ignored the pc will boot up whatever the fan speed even if it thinks its too low.

Done the same on mine so the cpu fan starts around 400rpm.

Yes that works here too, and I got that tip from this forum :)

Yep ive disabled cpu fan warning, as my 2 cpu fans and my case fans are all run from a fan controller, due to the cpu qfan feature not working with 3 pin cpu fans.
