Q-Flash not recognizing memory stick

hello
i have recently purchased the components for a build and put it together,
when i came to start the pc up it got stuck in a boot loop. i have tried updating the bios and it cannot find my usb stick, the parts of my pc are,

i5 3550k ivybridge
GA-Z68AP-D3 motherboard
8gb of corsair ram.

can anyone help please?

Is the memory stick formatted to FAT32?

Are you plugging it into a USB 2.0 port?

yes the memory stick is formatted to fat 32
and yes it is in a 2.0

Have you got a different brand of memory stick you can use?

I had this problem with a Corsair flash drive not being seen in bios. Used a Kingstone flash drive and worked no problem.

The Corsair worked in windows fine but not in bios.
