Whenever I overclock my Q6600 over 3.4ghz I get blue screen and a cache dump. Have I reached my CPU's limit or is it something else. I left my 8800GT at stock and still get the cache dump error. I'm not using the stock cooler but something I picked up quite cheaply but I don't know what cooler it is (I assure you it's better than the stock one as I lowered my temperatures around 10* when replacing it)

idle im at 52* and load it hovers at 68* which is fine for a CPU

I'm planning on getting a Tuniq tower 120 and Arctic silver to see if that changes anything.

Currently using a P35-DS3R MOBO, 2GB OCZ Dual channel Platinum revision and 600w StealthXStream

Probably just needs some more CPU voltage.

Is your memory voltage set correctly, and is the Memory Multiplier set low enough to avoid having the memory running too fast (the x2.0 one will be grand atm)?

It is, but AS is still grand.

Try 2.1v on the memory, and maybe a little more CPU voltage. But I wouldn't want load temps to exceed 75c.

Upped the voltage, booted for a lot longer but after 30 mins same error, load temps at 80* so didn't feel comfortable.

I'll get the new Heatsink, and try it out. For now I'll stick with 2.4ghz

Thanks for the replies
